I've learn about the world, poverty and the reality we live on. The program at IICD has open my eyes and my soul. I feel ready to Fight Poverty and be an activist for the rest of my life, because I know now how much I can do and how small actions can have big impact.
The time at IICD and in the project in Africa has been the best time in my life. The travel and investigations gave me a lot of new knowledge and new perspective. I believe that this is the most valuable experience I had as a volunteer. I came with the idea of helping The Poor but as I went through the studies and tasks I realize that what I was doing was much more than helping and that the impact that the community in Africa had in me was much more deep that what I expected.
